There are worse ways to go than being licked to death by a dog ... she looks like an iteration of

Little Bee ...

You're right. If I could choose my last act, it would be Bill as exdecutioner, licking me to death.

Was this your first dog? Is that a picture of him? It's interesting how the dogs reflect the owners.

Bill was our first family dog. Yes, she is in our Jo'burg yard. The skulls we found in the bush--already separated from the body and quite dead!

Dogs make the world a much better place. My Stella Blue...was my faithful companion, who understood me better and read my emotions better than any human. Michael Jackson, Abbott and Costello a fabulous way to start the day! Thanks for sharing!

I'm sure she was all that. Two of my favorite music links today. Bill-dog-related, that is!

Loved that dog. Now, Beck, you know that's one of my all time favorite tunes. Clarence White on telecaster with the snappiest fills. Chimes of heaven. The most "up" tearjerker ever.

Wonderful Laurel and Hardy!

Yes, as tearjerkers go, it's a very special song. And, thank you for all your musicological contributions. Clarence White would be thrilled if only, RIP, he could tune in.

Just listened again for the chimes--definitely those of heaven. (How did CW know them so perfectly before he got there?)

Thank you. A wonderful way to start my Thursday - the white Americans in South Africa with a DEI dog! The music you added is wonderful with a brilliant dancing Laurel and Hardy!

Thank you for that wonderful idea of a DEI dog. Yes, to MJ, A+C. The Byrds' video touches my chicken-loving heart.

(heart emoji here!) One buried at the front door, the other at the back. If you ever owned a dog, watch the Byrds song+video with a tissue box at hand. ...lowered him down with a silver chain...
